Since joining the Executive Committee of HKTDA in 2001, I have been dedicated to serving the education sector in the field of drama education. Subsequently appointed by the Committee as the Drama Curriculum Director of HKTDA, I took charge of developing one drama curriculum after another for schools—for primary and secondary levels alike; covering moral education, Chinese language, English language, multiple intelligences development, and aesthetic education... Project after project, we introduced drama into school after school. The situation resembled the Allied landings at Normandy, securing beachhead after beachhead, opening up new front after new front for drama education.

Now assuming the role of the new Chairperson, it is undoubtedly a challenge, but I am not alone—I am surrounded by a group of passionate Executive Committee members and an ever-growing number of dedicated colleagues. Here, I would like to express my gratitude to our former Chairperson, Dr. Tsin Tak Shun. Under his decade of leadership, the Association flourished, serving nearly a hundred schools, sharing drama education with thousands of teachers, and reaching tens of thousands of students. I also look forward to continuing to collaborate with the new Executive Committee to further advance drama education in Hong Kong schools.
